Officer
Ms.
Hartman joined GMP in late 2004 as President
and CEO after more than 18 years in the investment
banking industry, where she served most recently
as Managing Director in the Healthcare Department
of the Investment Banking Division at Goldman,
Sachs & Co. During her tenure, she was
responsible for the firm’s worldwide
efforts in the Medical Device Industry and,
prior to that, for the firm’s worldwide
efforts in the Healthcare Services Industry.
Before joining Goldman Sachs, Ms. Hartman
served as Vice President in the Healthcare
Group at Credit Suisse First Boston. Ms.
Hartman received her Bachelor of Arts degree
in Economics from Wellesley College in Wellesley,
Massachusetts.
Charles
L. Brown III, M.D.
Director
Dr.
Brown has served as a director since May 1999
and was the President of GMP Companies, Inc.
from May 1999 until September 1999. Dr.
Brown has been a partner in Cardiology of
Georgia, a cardiology practice, since August
1992. Dr. Brown specializes in interventional
cardiology and is the Director of the Fuqua
Heart Center Research Department at Piedmont
Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia. He oversees
several clinical trials and is the principal
investigator for many of these studies. He
is the inventor or co-inventor of nine patents
that were assigned to Global Vascular Concepts,
the predecessor to two of the company's original
subsidiaries.
Paul
A. Brooke
Director
Mr.
Brooke became a director of GMP Companies,
Inc. in June 2006. Mr. Brooke is Chairman
and Chief Executive Officer of Ithaka Acquisition
Corporation, a publicly-traded special purpose
acquisition company, he has also been the
Managing Member of PMSV Holdings LLC, a private
investment firm, since 1993 and a Venture
Partner of MPM Capital, a venture capital
firm specializing in the healthcare industry,
since 1997. Mr. Brooke has also been
an Advisory Director to Morgan Stanley since
April 2000. From 1983 until April 1999,
Mr. Brooke was a Managing Director and the
Global Head of Healthcare Research and Strategy
at Morgan Stanley. From April 1999 until
May 2000, he was a Managing Director at Tiger
Management LLC. He serves as a member
of the Boards of Directors of the following
public companies: Emdeon, a healthcare
information company; Ithaka Acquisition Corporation
mentioned above, Incyte Corporation, a drug
discovery company; and Viropharma Incorporated,
a pharmaceutical company. He also serves
as a director of a number of privately-held
firms.
B. Kristine
Johnson
Director
Ms.
Johnson is a General Partner at Affinity Capital,
a venture capital firm that invests in private,
U.S.-based health care companies. Previously,
she was senior vice president and chief administrative
officer of Medtronic. During her 17
years at Medtronic, she was also president
and general manager of Medtronic’s Vascular
business and Medtronic’s Tachyarrhythmia
Management business.
Matthew
Rebold
Director
Mr. Rebold is Managing Partner of Osprey Partners,
a NASD member firm, specializing in global
placement of alternative investments, such
as hedge funds and private equity partnerships.
Prior to that, Mr. Rebold was Director of
Marketing for Tiger Management Corporation.
Mr. Rebold holds an MBA in Finance from the
Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania,
and a BA in Public Policy Studies from Duke
University.
Alan
Sebulsky
Director
Since
April 2003, Mr. Sebulsky has served as Managing
Partner and Portfolio Manager at Apothecary
Capital LLC, an investment advisory firm specializing
in health care. Prior to joining Apothecary
Capital LLC, he was an independent investor
and consultant. Mr. Sebulsky was also
previously at Lincoln Capital Management,
a private investment management firm, where
he was responsible for its health care investments
from July 1994 to January 2002, last serving
as a Managing Director. From 1988 to
May 1994, he was with Morgan Stanley &
Company, an international investment banking
and brokerage firm, with responsibility for
equity research in the pharmaceutical and
medical device industries, last serving as
a Managing Director. He also previously
held various positions at T. Rowe Price &
Associates, an investment management firm,
from 1982 to 1988, serving as a health care
investment analyst and portfolio manager.
He is currently serving on the Boards
of Directors of Arrow International, a NASDAQ-listed
medical device company, and Jazz Pharmaceuticals,
a privately-held specialty pharmaceutical
company.
