Shelley A. Hartman
Chairman of the Board, President and Chief Executive Officer
Ms. Hartman joined GMP Companies, Inc. in late 2004 as President and CEO after more than 18 years in the investment banking industry, where she served most recently as Managing Director in the Healthcare Department of the Investment Banking Division at Goldman, Sachs & Co. During her tenure, she was responsible for the firm’s worldwide efforts in the Medical Device Industry and, prior to that, for the firm’s worldwide efforts in the Healthcare Services Industry. Ms. Hartman received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Wellesley College in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
Marty Wexler
Vice President of Sales
Mr. Wexler joined LifeSync in early 2011 after almost 30 years of sales management in the medical device industry. As part of the sales management team at Kol Bio Medical Instruments Inc., a manufacturer’s representative firm for high-tech specialized medical products, he represented companies such as Bard, Valleylab, Pall, St Jude, Scimed, Spacelabs and Midwest Analog and Digital, introducing the very first color screen central monitoring. He then managed a sales team for Spacelabs cardiac monitoring, and was recruited by Medical Data Electronics (MDE) as part of their sales management team involved in the rollout of the first wireless multi parameter patient monitoring system in 1990, eventually acquired by Thermo Electron. He joined Masimo as part of the initial sales team to increase sales, develop a sales team with both direct and distribution and coordinate joint sales and clinical efforts to convert and maintain accounts to Masimo pulse oximetry. Over the last 11 years, he has played many roles in contributing to Masimo’s growth, including sales and sales management, Director of Key Accounts and Strategic Account Manager, also developing strategies and sales process to introduce and promote Pulse CO-Oximetry Rainbow Technology to monitor blood constituents, non-invasively and continuously. Mr. Wexler received his double major degree with honors from East TN State University.
Marcos Caro
Vice President of Operations
Mr. Caro has over 25 years of executive leadership, consulting and engineering experience in both large and small companies. He has held senior level roles at numerous financial institutions and has been a practicing management consultant at Deloitte & Touche and A.T. Kearney. In the past years he has led the LifeSync efforts on Patents, Supply Chain Rationalization and Licensing. His experience is focused on results in strategic development of products, corporate development and the operations that allow the organization to deliver results to customers. During the period from 1999 to 2003, he was involved in a variety of start-ups as part of Chase.com’s Insurance, Private Bank and Lending businesses. Mr. Caro holds an MBA from Columbia University Business School, SB from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and completed course work towards a PhD in Material Science at Cornell Graduate School.
Patricia M. Chicvara
Vice President of Finance
Ms. Chicvara brings to LifeSync over thirty years’ experience in various financial roles ranging from Fortune 500 to start-up companies involved in various industries. In the medical field, she served as Corporate Controller at Ivax Corporation (later acquired by Teva Phamaceutical Industries) and Director of Accounting at Cordis Corporation (acquired by Johnson & Johnson). Additionally, Ms. Chicvara held various positions in finance and accounting management at Alamo Rent-a-Car (AutoNation), Southeast Banking Corporation and Theglobe.com. Ms. Chicvara joined LifeSync in August 2007 as Controller and was promoted to Vice President, Finance in 2011. Ms. Chicvara is a certified public accountant and worked with an international public accounting firm for approximately seven years. She holds a degree in accounting from the University of Miami (Florida).
Chip Standifer
Vice President of Product Development
Mr. Standifer joined LifeSync in March 2008. Mr. Standifer has over 25 years of entrepreneurial leadership, hardware, software and consumer product development and strategic planning experience. As CTO of NavStar Technologies, he led a small team of hardware and software engineers through the development and manufacturing engineering of a voice based telematic navigation system. His responsibilities ranged from product planning, prototyping and engineering through industrial design, remotely managing the manufacturing engineering team in China, FCC approvals and the initial launch from alpha and beta testing through operational customer service and support systems. Prior to NavStar he held a variety of start up management positions including founder and CEO of ATDC graduate VisiSoft, where he raised two rounds of venture funding, and consulting clients which included Viacom, Scientific-Atlanta, DCA, Blockbuster, NCR, MTV, and Microsoft.
