Ms. Hartman joined GMP Companies, Inc. in late 2004 as President and CEO after more than 18 years in the investment banking industry, where she served most recently as Managing Director in the Healthcare Department of the Investment Banking Division at Goldman, Sachs & Co. During her tenure, she was responsible for the firm’s worldwide efforts in the Medical Device Industry and, prior to that, for the firm’s worldwide efforts in the Healthcare Services Industry. Ms. Hartman received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Wellesley College in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
Lou Ann Beggs, RN
Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Ms.Beggs joined LifeSync Corporation in 2006 after 25 years of sales, marketing and clinical support experience in the medical device industry. She successfully owned and operated a manufacturers’ representative organization specializing in Philips Medical Systems Products from 1994 to 2006. Prior to that, Ms. Beggs held numerous positions in sales and clinical support for Philips/Hewlett Packard/Agilent Technologies. Before entering the medical devices industry, she was a nurse manager responsible for critical care, cardiac catheterization lab, CCU, ICU, ECG, and echo cardiology hospital departments. Ms. Beggs received her degree in nursing from Methodist Medical Center, Peoria, Illinois.
Nancy McLane
Senior Vice President Operations
Ms. McLane joined LifeSync in October 2007. Ms. McLane has more than 20 years experience in Operations Management for Medical Technology companies. From 2000 to 2007, Ms. McLane held various positions of increasing responsibility in Operations, including Executive Director of Operations and Plant Manager, for Cordis Corporation, a Johnson & Johnson, Co. a medical technology company. From 1987 to 2000, Ms. McLane held various positions of increasing responsibility in Operations, Facilities Management and Environmental Health and Safety Management with C. R. Bard, Inc. a medical technology company. Ms. McLane began her career as an Environmental Engineer with GTE Government Systems Corp. Ms. McLane holds her Bachelor and Masters degrees in Civil/Environmental Engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Northeastern University, respectively and her MBA from Bentley College.
Mark J. Phelps, PhD.
Senior Vice President of Research and Development
Dr. Phelps joined LifeSync in 2007 with over eighteen years experience in the design and development of high technology and high reliability products for medical, automotive, and defense industries. Prior to LifeSync, Dr. Phelps spent 9 years at Medtronic where he was responsible for Electronic Systems Technology and New Therapies and Diagnostics Product Development at the Microelectronics Center in Tempe, Arizona. Phelps has held leadership positions at Motorola's Sensor Products Division in Tempe, Arizona, and Texas Instrument’s Defense Systems and Electronics Group in Dallas, Texas. Dr. Phelps received B.S. (Summa Cum Laude), M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering and holds a certification in Materials and Science Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology, Melbourne, FL.
Jeffrey L. Raney, Esq.
Secretary and General Counsel
Mr. Raney has served as our General Counsel and Secretary since October 1999. From March 1993 to October 1999, Mr. Raney was Vice President, Administration of Computer Generation, a telecommunications company. Prior to that time, he was a partner in the Atlanta, Georgia office of the law firm of Powell, Goldstein, Frazer and Murphy, LLP, where he was counsel for a number of technology companies, including Hayes Microcomputers, Inc., SCI Systems, Sales Technologies, Inc. and EntreMed, Inc. He specialized in providing legal services to technology-based firms. Mr. Raney graduated from the University of Florida School of Engineering and from the University of Michigan Law School.
